Measure Vibration Of Vibratory Compactor Drums With Hand Held Meters{7471,0783}

Usage:

All Vibratory Compactors

Reference: Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide NENG2500.

Two new hand held vibration meters are available for checking vibrations per minute (VPM) on all vibratory compactor drums. Both of these meters are compact, lightweight, and easy to use making them ideal for use in the shop or in the field. The 133-0963 Hand Held Tachometer measures from 1000 to 2000 VPM in increments of 50, and 2000 to 4000 VPM in increments of 100, with an accuracy of .5 percent of rated frequency. The 133-9905 Frequency Meter measures from 800 to 50,000 VPM, or 14 to 750 cycles per second. This inexpensive meter is a good alternative when precise accuracy of reading is not critical.

Also available is the NEEG2687 Vibration Amplitude Decal. This magnetic decal sticks to most ferrous metal surfaces and will show amplitudes ranging from 0.50 mm to 6.35 mm (.020 in to .250 in).
