A 136-4506 Panel Kit is available for service of the rear access panel in the operator compartment. This panel can be used to route wires into the cab from the implement or auxiliary systems. The panel is located in the trim panel behind the seat.
"C" Series Machines Previously Equipped With Access Panel
The access panel was standard on Challenger 65C (2ZJ1-1964), Challenger 70C (2YL), Challenger 75C (4KK1-2229), and Challenger 85C (9TK1-1764). Items 1, 2, and 3 (see Chart B) of the 136-4506 Panel Kit service all parts originally equipped on these machines. See Section X-X for proper tee nut installation and bonding.
NOTE: When bonding tee nut (3) into the panel, apply the adhesive to the inside of the existing hole and the activator to the tee nut.
"C" And "D" Series Machines Not Originally Equipped With Access Panel
The 136-4506 Panel Kit is adaptable to Challenger 65D (2ZJ1965-Up), Challenger 75C (4KK2230-Up), Challenger 75D (5AR), Challenger 85C (9TK1765-Up), and Challenger 85D (4GR). Items 1, 4, and 5 (see Chart B) of the kit are recommended for use in retrofitting machines not originally equipped with the access panel. See Section Y-Y for proper installation of the bolt anchors. No bonding is required.

Illustration 1. 124-4665 Panel-Rear Trim. (K) Use 8T-9021 Adhesive Kit to bond these areas. (M) Carpet on inside of cab. Section X-X, replacement of original tee nut. Section Y-Y, retrofit on "C/D" Series machines.
NOTE: Items 1 and 2 listed in Chart B are not shown in the illustration.
1. Use 12 mm (.5 in) diameter drill and hand turn to produce holes (A) in the 124-4665 Panel. See Illustration 1 and Chart A for hole locations and sizes.
NOTE: If a power drill is used the drill may catch and wrap the carpet around the drill producing an over size hole.
2. Use the utility knife to cut the rectangular hole in the panel.
NOTE: If a finished look is desired, remove the fiberglass material from the back side of the panel at the rectangular hole location. Then cut the carpet material so it can be wrapped and bonded in place at the top and bottom of the opening.
3. Using the nut end of the anchor bolt as a pattern, mark and cut a recess for the anchor on the BACK SIDE of the 124-4665 Panel at each hole (A). The recess should be approximately 50 × 10 × 8 mm (2 × .4 × .3 in).
4. Push bolt anchor (4) through the holes previously drilled in the panel and allow the nut to rotate and lock in place in the recess (on the back side of the panel).
NOTE: When 124-4665 is recessed properly, screw (5) will start in the nut threads leaving dimension (L) above the front surface of 124-4665 Panel. See section Y-Y.
5. Slide front lock of the bolt anchor (4) down tight against the panel.
6. Trim off the installation handles of bolt anchor (4).
7. Repeat Steps 4 and 5 for the remaining three holes. The remaining bolts anchors (4) and screws (5) are provided as spares.

8. Trim off one end of cover (1). See Illustration 2 and Chart C for dimensions.
NOTE: Hole (S) is optional. If desired, hole (S) may be drilled and filled with a 9D-3767 Plug-Button.
