Hydraulic Oil Additive Used That Eliminates Noise In Differentials {3263}

Usage:

D25D (1HK),
D30D (3AJ),
D250E (5TN),
D300E (7FN),
D350E (9LR),
D400E (2YR) Articulated Trucks

Description of Change: The limited slip differentials use two multiple disc clutches to divide torque between the two wheels on the axle. Normal operation of the limited slip differential requires these clutches to slip. This slippage can result in noise which is audible to the machine operator and spectators. This noise is not harmful to the machine. If the noise is objectionable, an additive can be added to modify the friction characteristics of the oil which will help prevent the noise caused by the clutch slippage. The additive should be added at every oil change.

Adaptable To: Use of 1U-9891 Hydraulic Oil Additive began with the following machines, D25D (1HK643), D30D (3AJ396), D250E (5TN613), D300E (7FN337), D350E (9LR137), and D400E (2YR197) Articulated Trucks. The additive can be used in earlier machines as well. Refer to the following chart to find the amount of additive required for each machine.
