Description of Change: Improper monitoring of DIFFERENTIAL OIL LEVEL by the Vital Information Management System (VIMS) occurs in VIMS on board configuration software for all previously released 789B Off-Highway Trucks equipped with REAR AXLE FILTRATION SYSTEMS.
Adaptable To: The following change is effective with 789B (7EK536) Off-Highway VIMS Trucks equipped with REAR AXLE FILTRATION SYSTEMS. The change is adaptable to all 789B (7EK1-535) Off-Highway VIMS Trucks equipped with REAR AXLE FILTRATION SYSTEMS.
For all Off-Highway Trucks listed above it has been discovered that VIMS will not alert properly for low differential oil level. Oil levels are currently being checked under conditions which will allow false warnings.
