Improved Electronic Control Modules Reduce Electrical Interference{7490,3175}

Usage:

Challenger 35 (8DN),
Challenger 45 (1DR),
Challenger 55 (7DM) Agricultural Tractors

Description of Change: The Right Hand Control Module (RHC), Electronic Monitoring Center (EMC), and Chassis Control Module (CCM) have been updated. The following hardware changes have occurred:

* The RHC, EMC, and CCM have been modified to meet new European Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) standards. These EMI "shielding" changes reduce the potential for outside electromagnetic interference caused by FM band radios as well as electrical interference generated from the machine itself.
* The CCM has been modified to "filter" the signal output from the transmission speed sensor. A magnetized gear can cause the CCM difficulty in reading the transmission output speed.

Adaptable To: The "shielded" modules are effective with Challenger 35 (8DN546), Challenger 45 (1DR1145), and Challenger 55 (7DM1-Up) Agricultural Tractors. The "filtered" CCM module is effective with Challenger 35 (8DN595), Challenger 45 (1DR1323), and Challenger 55 (7DM518) Agricultural Tractors. The new modules are a direct replacement for the former modules and are adaptable to all earlier machines. See the chart for part numbers.
