--------------- END SUPPLEMENT ---------------
A new sensor is used by the Engine Control Module (ECM) to monitor atomospheric pressure. The new sensor for off-highway trucks is now installed in a different location on the 3512 and 3516 Engines. Several machines were built with the former sensor still installed in the previous location. Please remove and plug the former sensor location using the following information.
The new 103-6091 Sensor, newly located near the Engine Control Module (ECM) on the right front corner of the engine, is connected to a breakout of the main engine harness containing 997-OR (+V), 993-BR (GND) and A747-GY (Signal) Wires.
Remove the cab rear compartment cover. The former 6V-1926 Sensor, located on the left wall inside the rear cab compartment, must be removed and the connections plugged. The former 6V-1926 Sensor is connected to a breakout of the main cab harness containing 997-OR (+V), 993-BR (GND) and A747-GY (Signal) Wires. Plug the connection with (3) 8T-8737 Plugs (seals wire openings in 8T-8731 Plug) and (1) 8T-8731 Plug (connects to cab harness connector). Mark this plugged breakout as ldquo; Not Usedrdquo; and tie back to avoid future confusion. Please correct the following machines that were built with both atmospheric pressure sensors installed.
The following truck cabs should be corrected: 785B (6HK479 through 6HK784) and 793B (1HL313 through 1HL325) Off-Highway Trucks.
