Water Separator Has Been Added To The 8W-6270 Fuel Lines Group To Help Prevent Corrosion {1263,1274}

120H (4MK, 6TM, 5FM, 9FN, 6YN, 2AN, 3GR, 6NM),
135H (3YK, 7MM, 8WN, 7ZN) Motor Graders

Description of Change: A water separator has been added to the 8W-6270 Fuel Lines Group. The water separator will help prevent corrosion in the fuel system.

Adaptable To: The 127-2308 Water Separator Group is in effect with 120H (4MK1, 6TM1, 5FM1, 9FN1, 6YN1, 2AN1, 3GR1, 6NM1) and 135H (3YK1, 7MM1, 8WN1, 7ZN1) Motor Graders. The new serviced parts and lines for the water separator group parts are given in the chart.


Location of components. (1) 127-2308 Water Separator Group. (2) 8W-4008 Hose Assembly (tank to water separator group). (3) 128-7358 Tube Assembly (water separator group to 2W-2605 Pump Group). (4) 2W-2605 Pump Group. (5) 7I-5418 Hose Assembly (pump group to transfer pump).

Servicing the 127-2308 Water Separator Group

The 127-2308 Water Separator Group should be service as follows.

* The bowl in the 127-2308 Water Separator Group should be checked daily to see if water has collected in the bowl. If water is present, open the drain (A) at the bottom of the bowl. Open the vent (B) at the top of the water separator group and allow the water to drain. Close the drain and vent.
* The element (11) should be changed every 500 service hours.
