Water Manifold

Usage:

Remove Water Manifold

start by:

a) remove turbocharger

b) remove water temperature regulators


TYPICAL EXAMPLE

1. Disconnect tube (3) from the water manifold and the transmission oil cooler.

2. Fasten a hoist to the water manifold.

3. Remove the bolts (2) that hold the water manifold to the cylinder heads. Remove water manifold (1). Weight of the water manifold is 55 lb. (25 kg).

4. Remove the old gaskets from the water manifold or cylinder heads.

Install Water Manifold

1. Fasten a hoist to the water manifold.

2. Put the water manifold (1) in position on the cylinder heads. Install new gaskets between the water manifold and cylinder heads.

3. Install the bolts and washers that hold the water manifold in position.

4. Connect the tube to the water manifold and the transmission oil cooler.

end by:

a) install water temperature regulators

b) install turbocharger

Remove Exhaust Manifold

start by:

a) remove turbocharger

1. Remove all of the nuts, except nuts (1) and (2), that hold exhaust manifold (3) to cylinder head.

2. Fasten a hoist to manifold and remove nuts (1) and (2). Remove exhaust manifold. Weight of exhaust manifold is 85 lb. (39 kg).

Install Exhaust Manifold

1. Put 9M3710 Anti-Seize Compound on threads of studs (2).

2. Install exhaust manifold (1) on engine.

3. Install nuts that hold manifold to cylinder head. Tighten nuts to 85 ± 5 lb. ft. (115 ± 7 N·m).
