Valves

Usage:

Remove Valves

start by:

a) remove cylinder head assembly

b) remove fuel injection valves

1. Put compression on valve spring (1) with tool (A) and remove locks (2).

2. Remove tool (A), retainer, spring, valve and rotocoil. If old valves are to be used again, put identification on valves with respect to their location in cylinder head.

3. Check spring force with tool (B). For the correct spring force, See the subject VALVES in SPECIFICATIONS.

4. Do Steps 1 through 3 again for remainder of valves.

Install Valves

1. Put clean oil on valve stem. Install valve, rotocoil, spring, and retainer in cylinder head.

2. Put compression on valve spring and install the locks (1). Thick end of lock goes toward top of cylinder head.

------ WARNING! ------

Locks can be thrown from valve when compressor is released, if they are not in their correct position on valve stem.

--------WARNING!------

3. Remove valve spring compressor and hit the valve (2) with soft hammer to be sure locks are in their correct position on valve.

4. Do Steps 1 through 3 again for remainder of valves.

a) install fuel injection valves

b) install cylinder head assembly
