Air Reservoir (Brake Release)

Usage:

Remove & Install Air Reservoir (Brake Release)

1. Raise the truck body, and install the body retaining cable.

2. Remove the cover assembly and seal from the rear of the cab.

3. Release the pressure in the air reservoir.

------ WARNING! ------

To prevent possible personal injury, make sure the pressure in the air system is zero before any air lines are disconnected.

--------WARNING!------

4. Disconnect hose assemblies (1), (2) and (4) from air reservoir (3).

5. Remove the four bolts that hold the air reservoir in position, and remove the air reservoir.

6. If necessary, remove the drain valve and check valve from the air reservoir.

NOTE: The following steps are for installation of the air reservoir.

7. If the drain valve and check valve were removed, install them in air reservoir (3).

8. Put air reservoir (3) in position, and install the four bolts that hold it in place.

9. Connect hose assemblies (1), (2) and (4) from the brake control valve and air start solenoid to air reservoir (3).

10. Install the seal and cover assembly on the rear of the cab.

11. Remove the body retaining cable, and lower the truck body.
