Steel Shims Are Now Used To Adjust The Preload On The Front Wheel Bearings{4208,4200}

768C, 772B, and 776 Tractors;
769C, 773B, and 777 Trucks
Description of Change: Steel shims are now used to adjust the preload on the front wheel bearings in the above machines. Formerly, aluminum shims were used.
Adaptable To: All earlier machines as shown in the chart.
NOTE: Steel shims and aluminum shims can be used together. Use steel shims on both sides of an aluminum shim.
See the Service Manual for the correct procedure to preload the bearing.
