Usage:
824B (36H1139-up) Tractors;
825B (43N700-up) and 826B (58U99-up) Compactors
Description of Change: Oil filter changes are possible without removal of the filter support bracket on 824B Tractors, and 825B and 826B Compactors. Modification of the support bracket will give the necessary clearance between the filter cover and element, and the aftercooler assembly, to permit removal of the filter and element without removal of the filter support bracket.
Adaptable To: All 824B (36H1139-up) Tractors and 825B (43N700-up) and 826B (58U99-up) Compactors equipped with the 4V2434 Bracket Assembly.
Dimensions for bracket modifications.
Procedure For Modification Of The Bracket Assembly
1. Remove the support bracket assembly and oil filter from the frame.

4. Flame cut the two holes at the top of the frame and the two holes at the bottom of the bracket to permit installation of a spacer in each hole as shown in the illustration.
5. Assemble the bolts, washers, spacers, plate and frame.
6. Tighten to 75 ± 10 lb ft (100 ± 15 N·m) and tack weld the spacers to the frame at the top holes and to the bracket at the bottom holes (see the illustration).
7. Remove the bolts, washers and the bracket, and permanently weld the spacers in place.
8. Fasten the bracket assembly to the frame and connect the supply and return hose assemblies.
