Use The FT1482 Stop Collar Assembly With The 1P4000 Line Boring Tool Group{0663}

Usage:

Description of Change:

The FT1482 Stop Collar Assembly is to be used on the feed mechanism on the 1P4000 Line Boring Tool Group. This stop collar gives limited forward movement of the line boring tool when bushing bores with square shoulders are being machined. Use caution so as not to run the stop collar assembly against the face of the feed mechanism for too long a period of time. The stop collar can slip if enough pressure is used.

The stop collar is made from a flat, bronze washer and a split steel washer with a socket head screw in it, as shown in Illustration 1. Illustration 2 shows the stop collar fastened to the feed mechanism.

Adaptable To: The FT1482 Stop Collar Assembly can be used with either the 5P2981 or 1P2365 Feed Mechanism. The feed engagement knob must be removed on the 1P2365 Feed Mechanism if the stop collar is used.
