All 3304 and 3306 Engines
Description of Change: A new valve rotator and a new oil shield are used together on 3304 and 3306 Naturally-Aspirated Engines. The new valve rotator, without the new oil shield, is used on the turbocharged, and turbocharged and aftercooled engines.
The shield, which is used on both the inlet and exhaust valves, will not permit oil to flow down the valve stems. The result is a reduction of oil "slobbering" and carbon on the valves. The former valve rotator did not have an oil shield.
Adaptable As: The new valve rotator is a direct replacement for the former valve rotator as shown in the chart which follows.
