New Water Temperature Regulators Used In Temperature Regulator Groups{1355}

Usage:

3606 (8RB),
3608 (6MC),
3612 (9RC),
3616 (1PD),
G3606 (3XF),
G3608 (4WF),
G3612 (1YG),
G3616 (4CG) Engines

Description of Change: New water temperature regulators are used in the temperature regulator groups on these engines. The new water temperature regulators use a stainless steel piston guide while the former water temperature regulators use a brass piston guide.

Adaptable To: The chart identifies the new and former water temperature regulators and which temperature regulator groups and engines they are used in. The new water temperature regulators are effective with 3606 (8RB755), 3608 (6MC609), 3612 (9RC314), 3616 (1PD361), G3606 (3XF214), G3608 (4WF141), G3612 (1YG181) and G3616 (4CG150) Engines.

NOTE: Caterpillar recommends changing the water temperature regulators after 8,000 service hours for Diesel Engines and 10,000 service hours for Gas Engines.
