New Bearings In Fuel Injection Control Housing Provide Improved Service Life {1298}

Usage:

3612 (9RC, 9FR, 2NZ),
3616 (1PD, 1FN) Engines

Description of Change: The fuel injection control housing on these engines has been changed to include new needle bearings. The new needle bearings have a larger contact area than the former bearings. The new bearings will provide longer service life for the control shaft.

Adaptable To: The locations of the needle bearings are shown in the illustrations below. The new and former needle bearing part numbers are identified in Table 1. The new bearings are effective with 3612 (9RC295-Up, 9FR21-Up, 2NZ176-Up) and 3616 (1PD353-Up, 1FN150-Up) Engines. The new bearings are adaptable to 3612 (9RC1-294, 9FR1-20, 2NZ1-175) and 3616 (1PD1-352, 1FN1-149) Engines.
