New Lever In Governor Group Provides Improved Control {1265}

Usage:

3612 (9RC),
3616 (1PD) Engines

Description of Change: A new lever is now used in the governor fastener group on these engines. The new lever has three holes to attach the control rod, and is shorter than the former lever. The control rod is attached to one of the three holes, depending on the full fuel rack setting of the engine. The new lever provides improved linkage geometry, which allows for better engine speed control and improved performance.

Adaptable To: The new 163-6460 Lever is a direct replacement for the former 7C-7073 Lever in the 4P-7035 Governor Fastener Group. The new 163-6460 Lever is effective with 3612 (9RC280-Up) and 3616 (1PD347-Up) Engines, and is adaptable to 3612 (9RC1-279) and 3616 (1PD1-346) Engines.

The location of the 163-6460 Lever is shown in Illustration 1. The three configurations of the lever are shown in Illustration 2. The control rod and two 6V-5754 Plugs should be attached to the 163-6460 Lever as shown in the chart and in Illustration 2.
