The new 164-8940 Control Group "Customer Communication Module (CCM)" is a direct replacement for the former 117-6170 Control Group (CCM) for the engines listed above. The CCM changes allow for better communication between the CCM and custom systems. The 164-8940 Control Group contains new software that increases the number of broadcast list parameters from 31 to 48. Also, broadcast lists now work properly when used with 3500B marine engines. For more information regarding broadcast lists, refer to the CCM Customized Systems section of the CCM Owner's Manual.
