Service Manual Module RENR1200 "Electronic Modular Control Panel II+ For EUI Engines" is now available. One important difference between this control panel (II+) and other versions of the EMCP is the connection points for the Customer Communication Module (CCM). A CCM Data Link is used for communication between the Customer Communication Module and the EMCP II+. The CCM Data Link is a separate circuit from the CAT Data Link, and is located on the 40 pin connector of the EMCP II+ at pin 21 (CCM Data+) and pin 22 (CCM Data-). Wiring diagrams are included in the manual to assist in making these connections. The connection points on the Auxiliary Terminal strip (Data+ and Data-) should not be used. These are reserved for communication between the engine ECM and the EMCP II+ (and any other modules on the genset). The engine ECM and EMCP II+ are connected on the local CAT Data Link. These topics are explained in full in the new service manual module.
