Usage:
Start By:
a. Remove the steering control valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Control Valve - Remove" for the machine that is being serviced.
NOTE: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.
1. Remove the four bolts and the washers that hold manifold (1) to the steering control valve. Remove the manifold.
2. Remove the O-ring seal from manifold (1).
3. Remove plug (5), spring (3) and valve (2) from the valve body. Remove shim (4) and the O-ring seal from the plug.
4. Remove the four bolts that hold cover (6) to the valve body. Remove cover (6).
5. Remove the O-ring seals from cover (6). Remove seat (7) from cover (6). Remove the O-ring seal from the seat.
6. Remove inner and outer spring (9) and valve (8) from the valve body.
7. Remove valve spool assembly (10) from the valve body.
8. Disassemble spool assembly (10) as follows:
a. Remove bolt (14), the lockwasher and the washer from the spool.
b. Remove retainer (13) spring (12) and spacer (11).
c. Remove retainer (17) and shims (16) from valve spool (15).
9. Remove plug (18) and the O-ring seal from the valve body.
10. Remove seat (19) and the O-ring seal from the valve body.
11. Remove the ball seat and seal from the valve body.
12. Remove stop assembly (20) from the valve body. Remove the O-ring seal from the stop assembly.
13. Remove plug assembly (21), the spring and ball from the body. Remove the O-ring seal from the plug assembly.
14. Remove the three bolts, cover (22) and the O-ring seal from the valve body.
