3600 Family Of Engines
Description of Change: New adapters are used in the aftercooler groups on these engines. The new adapters are made of stainless steel to provide increased corrosion resistance and easier removal.
Adaptable To: The new 123-6256 and 123-6257 Adapters replace the 1W6916 Adapter in the 1W-0851, 1W-0888 and 1W-0921 Aftercooler Groups.
The 1W-0851 Aftercooler Group uses only the new 123-6256 Adapter. Two new adapters are required for each group. See Illustration 1. This aftercooler group is used on 3606, G3606, 3608, and G3608 Engines.
The 1W-0888 and 1W-0921 Aftercooler Groups use both the new 123-6256 and 123-6257 Adapters. Two of each of the new adapters are required for each group. See Illustration 2. The 1W-0888 Aftercooler Group is used on 3612 and G3612 Engines. The 1W-0921 Aftercooler Group is used on 3616 and G3616 Engines.
