The first recommended valve lash adjustment interval for these engines is at 250 service hours. This is also the first oil and filter change. Subsequent valve lash adjustment intervals are every 3000 service hours.

3408C (8RG) Marine, 3412C (3JK, 7BL) Marine, 3412 (38S equipped with 9Z-5339 Modification), 3412C (2WJ) Generator Set Engines

The first recommended valve lash adjustment interval for these engines is at 250 service hours. This is also the first oil and filter change. Subsequent valve lash adjustment intervals are every 1500 service hours.

These are oil well service (high speed, high horsepower) engines. The first recommended valve lash adjustment interval for these engines is at 125 service hours. This is also the first oil and filter change. Subsequent valve lash adjustment intervals are every 1000 service hours.
