New Oil Seal And Seal Collar Used In Auxiliary Sea Water Pump Groups{1371}

Description of Change: A new oil seal (1) and seal collar (2) are used in the auxiliary sea water pump groups. See the illustration. The new seal is made of Viton material, while the former seal is made of polyacrilic rubber material. The new seal will provide increased service life.


Location of the new 5N-2902 Seal (1) and 5N-2904 Collar (2) in the auxiliary sea water pump groups.

Adaptable To: When used together, the new 5N-2902 Seal and 5N-2904 Collar are direct replacements for the former 123-8231 Seal and 123-8232 Collar.

NOTE: Before installing a new 5N-2904 Collar, apply 9S-3265 Retaining Compound to the surfaces of the collar and shaft that contact each other.
