Description Of Change: The new software that is used allows for engine startup after a level 3 shutdown for hydrocarbon buildup and reduces excessive smoke at 800 rpm in cold conditions.
Adaptable To: The following changes are adaptable to the products within the listed serial numbers, and are effective with all products after the listed serial numbers.
The new 552-8436 Engine Software Gp replaces the previous software. The new software has the following additions or improvements:
- Flex pipe disconnection warning
- High-pressure fuel system leak detection
- Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) crystal flush strategy
- Turbocharger surge mitigation
- High-Pressure Common Rail (HPCR-1) diagnostics
- Resolves incorrect activation of low DEF pressure code creating false troubleshooting
- Resolves Idle Cylinder Cutout only functioning on one bank during -5 diagnostic codes
