Flywheel Housing - Remove and Install

Usage:

C7.1 GJN

Removal Procedure

Reference: Special Instruction, "Visual Service Procedures - Colors and Symbols" M0066576.

Start By:

  1. Remove the flywheel.


NOTICE

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.


  1. Drain the coolant. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change" for the correct draining and filling procedures.

Note: Turn the sea water feed to the off position.

If necessary, remove the dowels.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the flywheel housing in the reverse order of removal.
