Wear goggles, gloves, protective clothing, and a National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) approved P95 or N95 half-face respirator when handling a used Diesel Particulate Filter or Catalytic Converter Muffler. Failure to do so could result in personal injury. |
- Remove bolts (3).
- Remove bolts (2), exhaust elbow (1) and the gasket.

- Use a suitable lifting device to remove muffler (6) and the gasket. The weight of muffler (6) is approximately
140 kg (309 lb) .

- Install muffler (6) in the reverse order of removal.
- Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of bolts (2) and bolts (3).
