3406E (5EK) Truck Engines
The specification for tightening the injector rocker arm adjustment lock nut (1) has changed from 55 ± 10 N·m (40 ± 7 lb ft) to 81 ± 10 N·m (60 ± 7 lb ft). This increase in tightening torque results in improved reliability. Please make note of this change in the applicable service manual modules. This change is effective with 3406E (5EK91038-Up) Truck Engines and adaptable to all earlier 3406E (5EK) Truck Engines.
