Rework Instructions for the Current Housings
Note: If a leak occurs during lockup clutch engagement when using the 292-4351 Torque Converter Housing or the 304-9044 Torque Converter Housing, complete the following procedure.

- Thoroughly clean the surfaces at location (A) and location (B).

Typical Example |
- After the parts are clean and dry apply Loctite® Primer (1) to separator plate (3) and location (A) .
Note: Make sure to get the Loctite® Primer all around the bolt clearance holes as shown at location (C) .
- Let the Loctite® Primer dry.
- Then apply Loctite® (2) to separator plate (3) and location (A) .
Note: Specifically apply sealant to the circled landings around the bolt holes as shown in location (C). Sealant applied toward the inside of the o-ring groove on separator plate (3) is acceptable. Do not apply sealant down inside of the o-ring groove.
- Install the o-ring seal to separator plate (3),
- Immediately assemble separator plate (3) to the torque converter housing.
- Tighten the bolts to normal torque.
- Allow time for the Loctite® to cure before pressurizing.
