Alternator Removal Procedure

In order to ensure maximum reliability, Caterpillar recommends a scheduled replacement of the battery charging alternator on the C280-16 diesel engine.

For information on the removal and installation of the alternator, refer to Disassembly and Assembly, UENR3297, "Alternator - Remove and Install".
