Special Instruction, REHS7131 provides the installation procedure for the new 372-1187 Nitrogen Oxide Sensor Gp. The Special Instruction also provides the procedure for the installation of the new 379-0138 Sensor Kit (NITROGEN OXIDE). Use the sensor kit when you are replacing the 304-4209 Nitrogen Oxide Sensor Gp. The kit contains longer button head screws and spacers that are needed to accommodate for the profile change in the buffer for the new sensor.

For this sensor, proper routing and securing of the wiring harness is essential. Be sure to follow the procedure closely in order to avoid premature failure of the sensor group.
