Description of Change: A new front idler gear and a new accessory drive gear are used in the 3500 Family of High Speed Engines, including D11N and 776B Tractors, and 777B, 785, and 789 Trucks. Both new gears have a different heat treat process, which gives more resistance to pitting and a deeper heat treated case.

The new 7E0275 Gear (accessory drive) can be used directly in place of the former 7N5250 Gear. This former gear is identified by the number "7N5250" on the gear.
The new 7E0274 Idler Gear Assembly can replace the former 7N5241 Gear Assembly. This former gear assembly is identified by the number "7N5249" on the gear.
A new 7E0338 Front Gear Group has replaced the former 8N7174 Front Gear Group.
