Description of Change: New clamps with grommets are used in the fuel lines, turbocharger oil supply lines, and turbocharger water supply lines used on the above engines and machines. The new clamps with grommets provide a softer mounting that helps to dampen vibration of the lines. The new clamps and grommets are used only in areas where vibration dampening is needed.
Adaptable To: The chart shows which new clamps and grommets can be used to replace which former clamps. Put a thin coat of 5H2471 Cement on the outside of the grommets before installing the new clamps.
The fuel lines on the 3500 Family Of Engines; 776B, D11N Tractors; and 777B, 785, 789 Trucks use both new 7C2199 Clamps (single line) and 9Y0047 Clamps (double line) with new 7C3036 Grommets.
The turbocharger oil supply lines on 776B, D11N Tractors; and 777B, 785, 789 Trucks use new 7C2199 Clamps (single line) with new 7C3036 Grommets.
The turbocharger water supply lines on 776B, D11N Tractors; and 777B, 785, 789 Trucks use both new 7C2199 Clamps (single line) with new 7C2198 Grommets.
