Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before you begin the removal procedure, the exterior of the components should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.
- Use Tooling (A) to remove engine oil filter (1). Remove engine oil filter (1). Refer to Operations and Maintenance Manual, "Engine Oil and Filter - Change" for the correct procedure.

- Install engine oil filter (1) and oil filter base (4) in the reverse order of removal.
- Tighten bolts (3) and (2) to a torque of
22 N·m (195 lb in) . - Tighten engine oil filter (1) to a torque of
12 N·m (106 lb in) .
