Bulldozer Lift Cylinder Mounts - Remove and Install

Start By:

  1. Remove the bulldozer lift cylinders.

  2. Remove the sweeps (if equipped).

  1. Remove bolts (1) and cover (2).

  2. Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to yoke (3). The weight of yoke (3) is approximately 23 kg (51 lb).

  3. Attach Tooling (B) to pin (4).

  4. Remove pin (4) and yoke (3).

  5. Remove lip-type seal (5).

  6. Remove bushing (6) and bushing (7) (not shown).

  7. Repeat Step 1 through Step 6 for the bulldozer lift cylinder mount on the opposite side.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the bulldozer lift cylinder mounts in the reverse order of removal.

    1. Bushing (7) and bushing (6) must be pressed in all the way to the machined steps in the housing bore diameters.

    2. The inner diameter of bushing (7) (not shown) should be 63.723 ± 0.084 mm (2.5088 ± 0.0033 inch).

    3. The inner diameter of bushing (6) should be 95.473 ± 0.109 mm (3.7588 ± 0.0043 inch).

    4. Pack the housing for lip-type seal (5) with Tooling (C).

    5. Lubricate lip-type seal (5) lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.

    6. Install lip-type seal (5) as shown in Illustration 5.
