Start By:

  1. Remove the piston pump.

  1. Orient the piston pump with the shaft facing upward.

  2. Remove retaining ring (2) and seal carrier (1) from the pump.

  3. Remove lip seal (3) and O-ring seal (4) from seal carrier (1).

  4. Invert the piston pump and attach to Tooling (A) or a suitable fixture. The weight of the piston pump is approximately 65 kg (143 lb).

  5. Remove bolts (5) and valve group (6).

  6. Remove gasket (7) and feedback lever (8).

  7. Remove seal nut (9), plug (10), and the O-ring seal.

  8. Remove bolts (11), solenoid assembly (12), and the O-ring seal from valve group (6). Repeat for the opposite side.

  9. Remove cap (17), O-ring seal (16), and solenoid (15) from cartridge (14). Remove O-ring seal (13) from cartridge (14).

  10. Repeat for the opposite side.

  11. Remove bolts (18), (19), and adapter assembly (20) from the piston pump.

  12. Remove plug (21) and the O-ring seal from adapter assembly (20).

  13. Remove bearing (22) and plate (23) from adapter assembly (20).

  14. Remove gasket (24), pins (25), coupling (26), and ring (27).

  17. Remove plug (30) from the head assembly. Remove O-ring seal (31) from plug (30). Remove spring (32) and piston (33) from the head assembly.

  20. Remove O-ring seal (36) from plug (35). Remove piston (37) from the head assembly.

  21. Remove plugs (38), (39), (40), (41), (42), and the O-ring seals from the head assembly.

  22. Remove relief valves (43). Remove O-ring seals (44) and (45) from relief valves (43).

  23. Remove plug (46) and the O-ring seal.

  24. Remove plug (47) and the O-ring seal.

    Note: Measure the length of the adjustment screw for assembly purposes.

  25. Remove bolts (49) and bracket (50). Remove relief valve (48).

  26. Remove seal nut (52) from adjustment screw (51). Remove adjustment screw (51) and O-ring seal (53) from relief valve (48).

  27. Remove spring (54), (55), and piston (56) from the head assembly.

  28. Remove bolts (57), control (58), and the gasket.

  29. Remove plug (59), O-ring seal (60), and spool (61) from control (58).

  30. Remove seal nut (69) and O-ring seal (68) from adjustment screw (70). Remove cap (67), guide (65), spring (64), spring (63), and guide (62), from control (58). Remove O-ring seal (66) from plug (67).

  36. Remove bolts (78).

  37. Attach Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device to head assembly (79). Remove head assembly (79). The weight of head assembly (79) is approximately 25 kg (55 lb).
