Introduction

The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.

Problem

When the engine is stopped and then restarted within 5 to 15 seconds, the electric fuel priming pump does not restart. The engine will continue to run by drawing fuel directly from the fuel tank through the electric priming pump.

Do not operate or work on this product unless you have read and understood the instruction and warnings in the relevant Operation and Maintenance Manuals and relevant service literature. Failure to follow the instructions or heed the warnings could result in injury or death. Proper care is your responsibility.

To restart the fuel priming pump, use the following procedure:

1. Turn the keyswitch to the OFF position.

2. Wait for 30 seconds.

3. Start the engine. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, Starting the Engine for the correct procedure.
