(1) Lubricate the sealing lip of the seal lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.
(2) Lubricate the sealing lip of the U-cup seal lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.
(3) Lubricate the sealing lip of the wiper seal lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.
(4) Apply 4C-9506 Retaining Compound to the groove of the wiper seal.
Note: Apply 248-7522 Hydraulic Oil to the threads of the locknut (5) .
(5) Torque for the locknut ... 13500 ± 1350 N·m (9960 ± 1000 lb ft)
(A) Bore of the cylinder assembly ... 279.45 ± 0.10 mm (11.002 ± 0.004 inch)
(B) Outside diameter of the rod assembly after plating ... 177.750 ± 0.038 mm (6.9980 ± 0.0015 inch)
(C) Bore of head over two lands ... 178.08 ± 0.03 mm (7.011 ± 0.001 inch)
(E) Bore of the cap ... 230.00 ± 0.05 mm (9.055 ± 0.002 inch)
(F) Bore of the rod assembly ... 230.00 ± 0.05 mm (9.055 ± 0.002 inch)
