A New Elbow is Now Used for the Rear Gear Train Oil Supply Lines {1204, 1206, 7517}

A new elbow is now used for the above listed machines. The new elbow has an internal screen that filters the oil that is directed to the gears and the bearings. When the engine is overhauled or the engine comes into the shop for a major repair, both the left side and the right side 4K-6297 Elbow should be replaced with 297-7956 Elbow. On subsequent rebuilds, the elbows should either be replaced or removed from the machine and back flushed to clean the screen.
