Assembly Procedure


NOTICE

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.



NOTICE

The compressor housing must remain straight with the turbocharger cartridge during disassembly and assembly. Tilting may cause damage to the tips of the compressor wheel and the compressor shaft.

    Note: Check the condition of the components. Use new components to replace worn components or damaged components.

  1. Place an alignment mark on new turbocharger cartridge (4) in the same location as the old turbocharger cartridge.

  1. Align the marks and install compressor housing (1) on turbocharger cartridge (4). Install bolts (2) .

  1. Align the marks and install turbine housing (3) on turbocharger cartridge (4). Install bolts (5) .

End By: Install the turbocharger. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Turbocharger - Install".
