NOTICE

Improper lifting or tie-downs can allow load to shift and cause injury or damage.

  1. The weights and the instructions that are specified below relate to the machines that are manufactured by Caterpillar Inc.

    • The weight of the 613C II is 14968 kg (32998 lb).

  2. Shut off the engine. Apply the parking brake. Leave the bowl in a RAISED position.

  3. Place stops on the steering cylinders in order to prevent the tractor from turning.

  4. Place stops above the pivot stops in order to prevent the tractor from pivoting.

  5. A lifting bracket is located at the rear of the push block.

  6. Install a sling around the left steering arm. Install a sling around the right steering arm. Install the slings near the hitch.

  7. Use proper rated cables and proper rated slings for lifting the machine. Position the crane in order to lift the machine in a level plane.

  8. Spreader bars are not needed.

  9. Each machine is equipped with tie-down shipping brackets. Attach the tie-downs to these brackets. The hitch pins at the front and at the rear of the machine are two of the tie-downs.

  10. Lower the bowl before you install the tie-downs.

Install tie-downs at several locations. Place blocks around the front wheels and around the rear wheels.

When you install tie-downs to the front and to the rear center pins, you should install a tie-down to the left and to the right of the pin.

When you install the tie-downs that are located above the cutting bits, run the tie-down across the front of the bowl.

Obey all of the laws that govern the actual load's weight, the actual load's width, and the actual load's length.

See your Caterpillar Dealer for shipping instructions for your machine. See the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Shipping the Machine" for further information.
