  1. Attach Tooling (A) and suitable lifting slings to axle (8) , as shown.

  1. Use a suitable lifting device to install axle (8) . The weight of axle (8) is approximately 1247 kg (2750 lb).

  1. Install bolts (9) that secure axle (8) to the front support. The torque for bolts (9) is 2007 ± 251 N·m (1480 ± 185 lb ft). Repeat this step for the other side of machine.

  1. Install the pin assembly and bolt (7) .

  1. Connect grease hose (6) .

  1. Connect hose assemblies (4) and (5) .

  1. Install tube assemblies (3) .

  1. Use two persons to install plate (1) . The weight of the plate (1) is approximately 23 kg (50 lb).

  1. Install bolts (2) and plate (1) .

  1. Fill the axle with oil. The capacity of the axle is 52 L (13.7 US gal).

End By:

  1. Install the front tires and rims. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Tire and Rim (Front) - Remove and Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
  2. Install the bottom engine guard. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Bottom Guard (Engine) - Remove and Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
  3. Install the front drive shaft. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Drive Shaft (Front) - Remove and Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
  4. Separate the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect" for the machine that is being serviced.
