Note: Verify that all of the components of the differential and bevel gear are clean and free of foreign material prior to installation.
Note: Check all of the O-ring seals and the components for wear or damage. Replace the components, if necessary. Lubricate the O-ring seals lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.
- Install O-ring seal (15) onto differential and bevel gear (12) .

- Install Tooling (A) on opposite sides of differential and bevel gear (12), as shown. Position a suitable lifting device to Tooling (A). Secure the suitable lifting device to a hoist.

- Position the differential and bevel gear (12) for installation. The weight of the differential and bevel gear is 895 kg (1975 lb).
- Position two plate assemblies (14) for installation. Install 36 new bolts (13) and the washers that fasten the differential and bevel gear to the fixed axle. Tighten the 36 bolts in an alternating sequence to a torque of 875 ± 125 N·m (650 ± 90 lb ft) and then turn each bolt by an additional 120 ± 5 degrees in an alternating sequence.
- Install yoke assembly (11) onto the differential and bevel gear (12) .

- Position a suitable lifting sling around manifold (10). Secure the suitable lifting sling to a hoist. Use two people and the hoist in order to install the tube assemblies, the front brake oil cooler screens, and the manifold as an assembly. The weight of the assembly is 61 kg (135 lb).

- Install four bolts (9) and the washers that fasten manifold (10) to the bracket.

- Install two bolts (8) and the washers into the front brake oil cooler screen.

- Repeat Step 8 for the remaining side.
- Connect tube assemblies (6) and (7) at the final drive. Install bolts (4) and (5), and the washers.

- Repeat Step 10 for the remaining side.
- Position dirt guard (3) for installation. Install four bolts (2), the washers, and the spacers that fasten dirt guard (3) to the fixed axle.

- Repeat Step 12 for the remaining dirt guard.
End By:
- Install the Fixed Axle. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fixed Axle (Front) - Install".
- Install both front axles. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Axle Shaft - Remove and Install".
