Installation Procedure

Keep all parts clean from contaminants. Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life. |
- Apply Tooling (A) on the threads of the mounting studs for the turbocharger.
- Position the gasket and turbocharger (9) on the exhaust manifold. Install nuts (10) and tighten nuts (10) to a torque of 54 ± 5 N·m (40 ± 4 lb ft).

Note: Discard the nuts after use. Use new nuts for installation.
- Connect hose (8) .

- Place tube assembly (7) in position on the turbocharger and install bolts (6) .
- Connect tube assembly (5) .
- Lubricate the O-ring seal on elbow (4) with Tooling (B) and install elbow (4) .
- Position the retaining plates and install bolts (3) .
- Connect tube assembly (1) .
- Connect hose (2) .
- Refill the coolant system. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Refill Capacities and Recommendations".
