SUBJECT:

TEMPORARY CHANGE TO THE PS41004 HOOD SKIN REPAIR PROCEDURE FOR D9R TRACK-TYPE TRACTORS

PROBLEM:

Using the 220-5688 Doubler Plate in step #10 of the PS41004 hood skin repair procedure can cause the hood to crack after installation.

SOLUTION:

Do not use the 220-5688 Doubler Plate when performing the PS41004 hood skin repair procedure. Continue with all other aspects of PS41004 with the exception of the addition of the 220-5688 Doubler Plate. The omission of the plate is an interim solution, while Engineering works on a permanent solution.
