Compression Brake - Install

Keep all parts clean from contaminants. Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life. |
- Position compression brake (1) on the cylinder head. Install bolts (4). Install nut (3) onto the stud hand tight.
- Tighten bolts (4) and nut (3) to a torque of
50 ± 7 N·m (37 ± 5 lb ft) in the sequence shown. - Tighten bolts (4) an additional 90° ± 5° in the sequence shown.
- Tighten nut (3) an additional 90° ± 5°.
- Connect harness assembly (2) to compression brake (1).
