Start By:

  1. Remove the compression brake. Refer to the Disassembly and Assembly Manual, "Compression Brake - Remove".


NOTICE

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

  1. Remove screw (2) and harness clip (3).

  2. Remove solenoid (1). Remove the three O-ring seals from solenoid (1).

    Note: Step 3 through Step 5 must be performed at two locations.

    Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.


  3. Remove screws (7) and covers (8).

  4. Remove springs (5 ) and (6).

  5. Remove spool assemblies (4).

    Note: Step 7 through Step 8 must be performed at two locations.

  6. Use Tooling (A) to remove retaining rings (10).

  7. Remove retainers (11) and spring retainers (12).

  8. Remove springs (13), and pushrod assemblies (9). Remove pistons (14).

    Note: Step 10 through Step 11 must be performed at two locations.

  9. Loosen nuts (16) and remove autolash assemblies (15).

  10. Remove retaining rings (20) and washers (21).

  11. Remove springs (17 ) and (18). Remove piston (19) and pushrod assembly (22).
