Assembly Procedure

Note: Inspect all O-ring seals for wear or for damage. Replace the components, if necessary.

Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury. To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment.

1. Install O-ring seals (5) on inserts (4). Install O-ring seal (10) on diaphragm (6).

2. Install inserts (4), spring (7), and diaphragm (6) in body (11).

3. Position cover (3) and install bolts (2).

4. Install the O-ring seals on plugs (12) and install the plugs.

5. Install the O-ring seal on valve cartridge (9). Install the valve cartridge and tighten to a torque of 37 ± 2 N·m (27 ± 1 lb ft).

6. Install coil assembly (8). Install locknut (1) and tighten to a torque of 20 ± 3 N·m (15 ± 2 lb ft).

End By:

1. Install the diverter valve. Refer to the Disassembly and Assembly Manual, "Diverter Valve - Install".
