Diverter Valve (Coolant) - Disassemble

Usage:

C15 BXS

Disassembly Procedure

Start By:

  1. Remove the diverter valve. Refer to the Disassembly and Assembly Manual, "Diverter Valve - Remove".

    ------ WARNING! ------

    Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.

    Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.

    Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.


  1. Remove locking nut (1) and coil assembly (8).

  2. Remove valve cartridge (9). Remove the O-ring seal from the valve cartridge.

  3. Remove plugs (12). Remove the O-ring seals.

  4. Carefully remove bolts (2) and cover (3).

  5. Remove diaphragm (6) from body (11). Remove O-ring seal (10) from the diaphragm.

  6. Remove spring (7) and inserts (4). Remove O-ring seals (5) from the inserts.
