Illustration 15 g00996255 Show/hide tablePersonal injury can result from parts and/or covers under spring pressure.
Spring force will be released when covers are removed.
Be prepared to hold spring loaded covers as the bolts are loosened.
Note: Care must be taken when coupling shell (28) and the spring are removed. The coupling is under spring force.
- Turn over the housing and remove nut (27) and the washer from the impulse coupling.
- Use pliers on one of the drive lugs of coupling shell (28). Turn and pull the coupling at the same time until the spring releases. To make a separation of the coupling from the hub, the spring end must be removed from the groove in the hub.
