Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the timing gears. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Timing Gears - Remove" for the engine that is being serviced.

1. Remove six bolts (1) and two locks (2) that hold timing gear plate (3) to the cylinder block. Remove timing gear plate (3) and the gasket.

Installation Procedure

1. Install timing gear plate (3) and a new gasket.

2. Install two locks (2) and six bolts (1).

1. Install the timing gears. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Timing Gears - Install" for the engine that is being serviced.
